The Sound Devices XL-1B is a 12″ (30 cm)  cable with TA3F to TA3F connections. The cable is generally used to interconnect the 442 and 302 field mixers. The cable is also used to connect the main outputs on the 442 to inputs three and four on the 744T field recorder.
