Remote Audio SetCans
SetCans headphones are designed specifically by Remote Audio for film and video production on-the-set wireless listening. Intended for use with popular receivers such as those made by Comtek, Lectrosonics, and Zaxcom, the following unique combination of features make them ideal for film and video production:
- Durable. A molded right-angle connector cable with a wire going directly to each earpiece addresses the two most common failure points of other headphones typically used on the set.
- Comfortable. Lightweight with replaceable foam cushions, you'll find that most people on the set prefer these over larger more expensive headphones.
- Mono plug. Chosen to insure universal compatibility with all popular receivers. The most popular receivers will accept standard stereo phones, but put the left and right earpieces out of phase with each other, causing listening discomfort. Also, older versions of popular receivers will accept only a mono plug.
- Proper length cable. On-set monitor receivers are normally used as a belt pack. The length of the SetCans cable (1 meter) was chosen to reach comfortably from the head to the belt pack without excess cable to tangle and trip over.
- Inexpensive. Headphones used for on-set wireless monitoring are often abused and lost. So with SetCans, when they have to be replaced, it won't hurt you or the production.
- Sound Great. Large drivers give the SetCans a warm full range sound - surprising for light-weight compact over-the-ear headphones.
