At Trew Audio we always appreciate innovation, especially when a unique approach offers a definite improvement. The Cinela microphone suspensions offer improvements over traditional suspensions in several ways.

  1. The suspension section is made of fine metallic spring wire that will keep its flexible qualities for life.
  2. The XLR connector for the microphone is built into the suspension with an ingenious pivot and damping system that insures that no noise can be created by the connector. (With traditional systems, movement at the connector is often a source of noise.)
  3. A miniature isolation jumper cable is integrated within the suspension and is routed with a 180-degree bend to cancel any rumble that might otherwise travel through the cable. At the end of this wire is a Neutrik XLR male that is firmly mounted to the side of the suspension. These parts will not make noise, because they can't.
  4. The integral machined XLR connector combines with the rest of the design to create an extremely low-profile, light-weight, very sleek rig on the end of the boompole.

Because weight, balance, and low-freq properties vary with different microphones, Cinela suspension models are built for specific microphones. Trew Audio has in stock suspensions for the Neuman KM100 series, Schoeps CMC series, Sennheiser MKH 20 - 50 series, and Sennheiser MKH 60, and Sennheiser MKH416. The Cinela mounts work very well with all of these microphones, and is particularly well suited for the low frequency sensitive Schoeps CMC series.
