Matt Hamilton Our Man in the Sudan
Nashville-based Sound Mixer Matt Hamilton (left) and cameraman Matthew Dyer (right) traveled to Africa for a documentary shoot at a girl's school in the small village of Akon in the Sudan. Although forced to travel light, Matt managed to stow under his seat on the plane a Portabrace bag containing a Sound Devices 442 Mixer, Sennheiser ME66/K6 mic, Sanken CSS-5 Stereo Mic, PSC Elite Boom Pole, and a pair of Lectro 201 wireless systems, all powering accomplished by a Remote Audio BDS System.

Barney and Friends Trew Audio Visits Prague
Trew Audio's Executive VP & CFO, Richard Rosing, visited Prague and was given a tour of Barrandov Studios by local Sound Mixer (and long-time Trew audio customer) Jan Čeněk (on left). The two are shown on the set of a series of Pantene commercials that Jan had been working on. Jan Čeněk also owns Bystrouška, one of Prague's finest post-production facilities and rental houses.

he checked out of the hospital. Less than one month following an incident on
his motorcycle which required multiple surgeries, Glen continues to make
tremendous progress in his rehabilitation, and he appreciates the emails,
letters and calls of support from everyone.

Pictured on the Lincolnshire coast in England, recording to Portadrive and using the new Audio Ltd 2040 wireless rack system. Filming took place in London, Surrey, Nottingham and Skegness and the film is due in Theatres March 2007.

Tom Bilenkey, Toronto Sound Mixer, has created this self-contained MetaCorder package which accommodates his G4 PowerBook, DVD burner, external hard drive, MOTU Traveler, power distribution, storage, mouse tray and swivel arm. The entire arrangement swivels into position or out of the way. Notice the meticulous machining of the aluminum enclosure and support bracket.

It's equipped with all the goodies needed to effectively run a small digital project, including dailies on DVD-R and Direct-To-Disk recording via a 75' snake FireWire. Many items were purchased from Trew Audio.

The kids were learning rock-climbing on a 75-foot cliff. Jan is shooting on a Sony DV camcorder as Michael booms with a Sennheiser 416 T-12 to a Shure FP-32A, sending wireless to the back of the camera with his Lectrosonics system.
