New evolution of the BDS is here

Along with their new striking color scheme Remote has upgraded the functionality of the BDS box with their new BDSv4 and BDSv4u. Both boast 6 overload protected outputs, a low battery warning LED, external switches for battery level and switched/unswitched output designation. The BDSv4u adds a USB power port as well as a remote accessory port to the system.
Zoom’s new H2n set for September release

Once again Zoom has packed feature upon feature into a small enclosure for a comfortable price. The H2n uses 5 different mics to enable 4 unique recording modes and records up to 20 hours on 2AA batteries. There is even a data recovery function for use if power is lost. It can even function as a USB mic for direct to computer recording. Coming in September.
New single rackspace 12-volt powered speaker

The folks at Remote Audio have engineered a 12VDC powered stereo speaker system that mounts in a single rackspace, and made it lightweight, compact and power efficient as well. The SPEAKEASY R-1 accepts balanced or unbalanced line level signal to XLR inputs or an unbalanced stereo signal via 1/4" TRS and provides high-quality output through its speakers and to headphones. Output is switchable to Left, Right, Stereo or Summed Mono.

Sonosax has promised the SX-ES84 mixer is shipping in two weeks. The ES84 is identical to the ES64 with an additional 2 channels. It will be available as a standalone or with optional EQ and/or A/D converter.
Sound Devices releases Wave Agent update

Sound Devices recently released Wave Agent v.1.16 which addresses an iXML change that Wave Agent made to files it updated. The change caused WAV files to be unimportable in certain software applications.
